Welcome. This is an unofficial blog for Beaconsfield squash club.
Here you'll be able to access info about team matches, keep tabs on divisional positions,
and get updates on squash and racketball events and any forthcoming social activity.
It could also be the place to start (and end) rumours, and indulge in healthy banter.
There's bound to be the odd thing that offends; but that's alright isn't it, us being adults?
If you're truly miffed just email me and I'll remove the offending article.
You'll also be able to post a blog yourself; I am your host so, simply email me your piece/rant/match report/poetry/recipe for tripe to:
trev@lisacottage.demon.co.uk
I'll put it up 'in the cloud' and folk will then be able to comment or heckle...
So come on, email your pieces or add your comments below what is already posted there.

Dirty Fights Dirty But Is Well Past 'Sell By' Date

Is Trevor the 19th best player in the Club??
By: Dirty
The Lions are currently struggling mid table in Div 1 and suffering terrible selection issues comprising non-availability of their elite players and injury problems down the order as their ageing masters put their bodies on the line as they battle with younger foe. The unavailable list reads like a who's who of Bucks squash: Boyle - In demand around the Home Counties but plays when able
Longman - Working his coaching commitments in Henley
Foo - Thigh strain and business in Asia
Dirty - Foot/knee/hamstring (am I the new Gareth?)
Burnett - Washing up duty at Marlow
Alexander - Knees finally feeling the strain after years of mastery
So I have called upon the strength on the Super 2nds / Bears / Bulls player combo to help support the Lions' efforts to keep growling. And what great support we have had.
Many thanks to Davies, Magic, Rhino, Napoleon, Gareth, Bullard, Captain Kangaroo, Piggin, Reeves, Monkey Boy for stepping up to the plate to support the sterling efforts of Messrs Manley and Treadwell in keeping the Club's reputation intact.
A total of 18 players helping out so far before the halfway mark. Yet there is one major absentee and the question remains -
Will Trevor Ever Play for the Lions
Despite being a constant presence at the Club, in the bar, (and a constant irritant to many) he is resolutely avoiding the step up from Div 2 mediocrity?
Calls and emails are not answered.
Dinner with Whitaker and Chez (!!??!!) used as an excuse. Lots of talk but little action.
Is he all mouth and trousers (nothing there either) or running scared?
The time for his debut is surely nigh.
Trev show us what you are made of?

Running scared?
Dan

Trev replies:
Sorry Dirty,
I'm washing my hair (remember that?) and resting my aging bones exclusively for the Bulls.
Also not sure that this cross pollination of teams is a good thing; you can only milk a bull for The Bulls...
The 'gently does it' approach seems to be working though:
Dirty (Club R'ball Champ): SPANKED
Avril: SPANKED (£10 a go: see right)
Camel (Bulls No1): SPANKED
Mears (League Game): SPANKED
Where's a monkey when you need one?
Trev x
