Welcome. This is an unofficial blog for Beaconsfield squash club.
Here you'll be able to access info about team matches, keep tabs on divisional positions,
and get updates on squash and racketball events and any forthcoming social activity.
It could also be the place to start (and end) rumours, and indulge in healthy banter.
There's bound to be the odd thing that offends; but that's alright isn't it, us being adults?
If you're truly miffed just email me and I'll remove the offending article.
You'll also be able to post a blog yourself; I am your host so, simply email me your piece/rant/match report/poetry/recipe for tripe to:
trev@lisacottage.demon.co.uk
I'll put it up 'in the cloud' and folk will then be able to comment or heckle...
So come on, email your pieces or add your comments below what is already posted there.

What Was All That About? A Season Reasoned: Bulls: Nigel McNeil

The Bull's skipper was a Camel; go figure...

The Camel and the Bulls
As the End of Season Bash at Basmati draws near, a moment is spent to reflect upon the Bulls' season in Bucks Div 2:
We all knew from the start that it would be a stormy passage, and a spirited team effort would be required to keep the ship afloat......

The Low - Losing our first 5 matches ( including losing to the Bears ) and being firmly anchored at the foot of the league by early November.

The Highs - Turning it round mid-November, everso nearly beating top team Booker at their place, and finishing the season off with a classic encounter against the Super 2nds.

Best moment - Without doubt, Natalie's comeback from 0-2, 0-8 to beat Chesham Bois Senior's Chris Jordan 3-2, spurring the team on to a good 4-1 win on the night.

Most Controversial - Shenanigans at Chesham Bois after beating the Upstarts with 3 Bears...

Team player - No one can be singled out - a committed squad all gave it 100%:

Ian 'St' Piggin - Rose very well to the challenge of playing at no 2, re-named 'The Saint' by Trevor, in recognition of his sincere marking style.

Jim 'Coops' Cooper - The backbone of the side, notching up gritty wins at no 3 against hardened Div 2 campaigners, always 100% reliable.

Trevor Jones - Blossomed and seemed to get younger and fitter as the season progressed, a great motivator for us, and a fine revenge win v Duncan Swallow at Booker.

Natalie 'Jesus' Machin - A commendable season indeed - 16 years old, never intimidated, playing some of the trickiest gentlemen in the County, nearly always going to 5 games, and nearly always winning! - it was a pleasure to have Natalie in the team.

Thanks also to St John Dyson and the Squad players who came to our aid during the season.

Captain in 3 words -  All at Sea...
