Welcome. This is an unofficial blog for Beaconsfield squash club.
Here you'll be able to access info about team matches, keep tabs on divisional positions,
and get updates on squash and racketball events and any forthcoming social activity.
It could also be the place to start (and end) rumours, and indulge in healthy banter.
There's bound to be the odd thing that offends; but that's alright isn't it, us being adults?
If you're truly miffed just email me and I'll remove the offending article.
You'll also be able to post a blog yourself; I am your host so, simply email me your piece/rant/match report/poetry/recipe for tripe to:
trev@lisacottage.demon.co.uk
I'll put it up 'in the cloud' and folk will then be able to comment or heckle...
So come on, email your pieces or add your comments below what is already posted there.

Junior Squash: A Message from your Club Manager

Dear Member,
Deborah Holmes, Chris Griffiths and myself have been working hard over the last few months to reinvigorate the junior squash offering at our Club with initiatives such as school holiday programmes, partnerships with England Squash and local schools, Club Nights, Junior Leagues and informal Saturday "Roll-Ups". We also continue to support the group coaching sessions held by Andy Longman, the Club Coach, and the individual coaching held at the Club by Andy and Clive Ewins.

JUNIOR CLUB NIGHT - SATURDAY 19th NOVEMBER 2011
 JUNIOR LEAGUES
After a gap of several years and with some recent delays I am pleased to report that the Leagues were re-established on 25th October 2011. Only one match played so far so come on you Juniors!
 JUNIOR NEWS
Of the nine individual titles up for grabs at the recent Bucks Junior Closed Championships your Club took four of them! From a strong entry of 84 players Natalie Machin won the Girls Under 19 and Under 17 events, Megan McNeil won the Girls Under 15 event and James Wyatt was the Under 13 Boys Winner.
Natalie is ranked number 38 in the country Girls Under 19 and number 15 Girls Under 17. Megan is ranked number 30 in the country Girls Under 17. James is ranked number 3 in the country Boys Under 13. James is also number 3 in the European Squash Federation Boys Under 13 rankings!
AND FINALLY
While I am sure we will have more junior players like Natalie, Megan and James in the future this is not my top priority. It is to provide a happy and safe environment within which our Juniors can fall in love with playing squash (as I did 41 years ago) and hopefully continue to play the game into their old age.

 David Stamp
General Manager
